Please add dead zone settings for controllers.
I use an old wheel that serves as an Xbox controller whenever I play driving games. Sadly in some games there's a massive gap between when you turn your wheel and when it actually responds to being turned which is easily fixed by setting LS dead zone to 0. This would be great and add a lot of immersion to the game!

They need not just deadzone settings but "steering curve" settings too. Right now they feel digital, IE either on or off and not gradual...

Even with a regular Xbox controller the deadzone feels way too big, which makes it hard to steer well. The slow turning of the wheel doesn't help either, but I dunno, that might be by design.

yeah, the steering controls in this game are absolutely abysmal with the current deadzones and how quickly and unrealistically the car slows down on its own. I don't understand how the developers release a demo for a game where the primary game mechanics are so awful

Also problematic is that the car is in its worst state and will only improve as the game progresses so hard to know what better iterations of the car will handle like

Yeah, this is my main gripe with the game right now.

Same here, I was expecting for smooth driving / stick curves but using an analogue stick at the moment feels far worse than using the keyboard.

[EDIT] The strange deadzone seems to mainly affect the first car you drive ; as soon as you get to the zone, the handling is a lot better / reacts to the surface.
