stuck on finding duct tape

i have to craft a impuls hammer, on the first tour. But i dont find duct tape i have only too, but need 4?

Where did you find gas cylinder for hammer, mate? I'm desperate to find any...

gas cylinders spawn in the (often locked) storage cabinets that have the mesh grating on the front. If they're locked, use the crowbar to open them.

where did you find tape? i'm wandering around in circles trying to find just one so i can move on
edit: oh, turns out i didn't need duct tape at all, i was mistaking the highlighted item as the selected item

When you finally need duct tape, you get it by shredding car parts

Like another post indicates you can use your saw on any abandoned car and duct tape is one of the main components the drop from each part you chop up.

I found a lot of those on the neon lights in front of some of the trailers. The scrapper will work on them... Or is it the shredder
