Splitting Stacks

Would it be possible when the full game releases to put in the ability to split stacks? Please :)
I realized just now as I packing road flares and wanted to split them and there is no option to do so.

Any news on this? I just started playing, but I sorely miss it.

EDIT: Oh, just noticed, you can drop single items to make a new stack. Better than nothing.

It is possible, but clunky. You can split a stack by putting it in your hand (the hex area to the right of your backpack on the UI) and hitting X to drop one item out of it at a time.

You probably need a place to put the other half of the stack while you pick up the flares you dropped.

To keep them separate in the same storage you have to manually click and transfer, any auto transfer option will try to combine stacks.

Ah right, dropping some items at least gives us something of a workaround until inventory stack splitting becomes a thing. Cool, now I can store half a stack of flares, bring half a stack of flares, and possibly find another half stack of flares which will neatly fit into the space in the half-stack I brought. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

There was a massive update that brought a lot of upgrades and new content, but there is still no possibility to split stacks XD

Honestly insane, would've taken an associate 2hr of one day to implement this...

Yea it really kinda makes me saddened that there are issues / bugs that have been in the game for close to a whole year now - despite all the updates that we've had.

I really hope the remaining known issues can be addressed - but the longer they exist without addressment, the less likely it seems that they will ever be addressed
