Fuel can missing from trunk

Right at the start it says my fuel can be found in the trunk, however nothing is there.

Your fuel can is located in the top left section of the trunk - close to the top of the trunk door.

Same Problem, i had it in my inventory before going trough a warp gate, then it was missing my iventory and from my trunk.

mine disappeared in the middle of a story mission and i had to turn on infinite fuel to progress. i had no way to siphon fuel. if i could create a basic fuel can with spare parts at the workbench in the car, that would solve the problem. im really upset i had to use that cheat.

Later in the game, there are large oil tanks that can be unlocked, but if your progress is too far ahead, you may want to consider whether to reopen a file. After all, I have never lost it, although its capacity is much smaller than the large one. , but it sticks there and does not occupy any space, so it can barely be used as an emergency when the fuel consumption is abnormal.

i have that unlocked just not the tier 2 workbench for my car yet to build it . i needed more unstable energy. im only hoping its going to be there or maybe the dumpster will give me on when i get back to the garage.

I had my little fuel can run away without me noticing but my second best friend in the whole PNW made things right!

I don't understand why that's madness? Where else would they put it? Should it be stuck outside the car right next to the gas cap? Or maybe the spot you're always looking in? Where things are stored.
