Bakery photo quest

Today's mission for Allison Fisher has me placing 8+ items labeled "food, pro" near the bakery and photograph them. I've tried throwing and dropping five different varieties of pro level food items for a total of 11 different items placed, next to the bakery, next to the baker, and even waited til the bear walks over to the bakery, but when I take the photo, I get credit for zero.

Is there another bakery on the island? Anyone have another idea what I might be doing wrong? There's film in the camera, and I've triple checked that each of the items is food, pro, not basic/master.

All I can say is that I remember having a similar problem with having to take photos of pro food. In the end, I just let it expire because it just wouldn't work for me.

Hopefully you could get it working, though.

I had to do the same, sadly. Could not find a place where the photo worked. It's one of the optional quests, so no great loss, but frustrating to not figure it out.

You need Alison to cook "standard" meals; there is a special register for that

I don't know what any of that means. I cooked pro quality meals like the quest said. What do you mean by special register?

What works for me is making the required number of pro items from Alison's Bakery, and then I just drop them where I stand at the bakery and take the photo. It has to be 8 different pro items, not a stack of 8 doughnuts, for example.

Thanks! That is something that I wondered, but I figured with five different types there I would have gotten at least partial credit with the photo, where the dial shows you how many of the proper pieces you got in the picture. It was showing me zero proper items, so I figured I was putting the wrong items down. I didn't have ingredients for three more different "pro, food" items at that moment, but hopefully if I get a similar quest, I will!

If it had to be 8 DIFFERENT pro items, then I can see where I went wrong, too.

I wouldn't have been able to complete that task at the time, though. I remember the reason I wanted to use the same items was because I didn't have the ingredients or possibly even enough recipes for so many pro food items.

It was really early in the game. The struggle was real when nut flour was worth its weight in gold

They can all be the same item, just individually placed, not a stack.

Some of the camera quests can be tricky. They are the ones I skip over, if I'm short of time.

Well that makes it a problem again since I placed them on the ground separate from one another.

It must have been some kind of bug since it was the only task I couldn't complete throughout the 80+ days of playing now.

the way I do it is that I separate them in the inventory then drag them from the inventory and place them next to each other near my feet until I have enough.
The key for me was to drag them from inventory instead of throwing.

This has happened to me with the same quest and happens ALWAYS now its a photo quest for the Charolette - I'm always missing a landmark now even if I'm right over any of the signs. The Cozy Grove rock has been missing for over 8 months (or more probably) ever since that was removed the photo quests have been harder to complete. I just stopped doing them unless it involves one with imps, or the other bears that are out in the open.

If you have something placed where the Cozy Grove sign should be, it won't appear. Pick up whatever decorations might be there, and log out for a time. It took me a hot minute to figure this out.
