Cat problem

So far I got two cats. Problem is that they like different decorations and what they dislike is the exact thing that the other one likes (one of the likes/dislikes is rustic decor). If i use common fence post to separate them, that makes one of them very sad. Any other way to keep their spaces apart so that energy of each other's fave objects does not bother them?

That's a tough one! Sadly fences only count as decoration and dont help separating the cats.

What I've seen people do is keep 1 cat in a chest and switch them to feed them both (and keep them happy). At some point you'll unlock more rooms and you can make themed rooms! Hope that helps

Wait, I thought the fencing was supposed to be some kind of imp deterrant. Does it actually have any effect on imps?

What most people do is put up a cat or other animal then have what it likes out and then pet and feed to get reward then change them out and do the same. you also get more rooms later so can separate them that way.

No the fences do nothing but get in your way.
