If she isnt important to the story in any way, can the game be modded maybe to just turn off her visits? A 'false' setting in an ini file somewhere?
And the NPC is acting like my fashion stalkers and it freaks me out.
I just wanted to turn her off. Sorry it bothered y'all so much.
I do not think that your comment bothered anybody, you have nothing to apologize for. :)
It has primarily happened in Mabinogi, but I have encountered the behavior in FF14 as well. Both games fostered the "Fashion is everything" behaviors that I desperately try to avoid but every now and then someone just gets it in their craw that they MUST adjust my outfit and become very obsessive compulsive about it. In one incident, I simply added a green metal dye to an armor I liked the shape of and someone spent months hunting me down any time I was out of a dungeon in the cities. I got into the habit of logging out in remote locations and bypassing major social areas to not deal with those people. Its a waste of everyone's time.
After some though, I realized that the fashion bear mostly bothers me because she just spawns right beside the starter camp so her quest is the first alert I see when I load in. She'd be easier to ignore if it wasn't right there. Can I move my camp to the other plots? I havn't tried yet.
As for moving our tent, that is a very good question. I have not seen a way to do it yet, but I would like to be able to move around the map.
Now, I have to check my Closet. Do I have a brown bob-haircut wig, orange sweater, and glasses I'll need for tomorrow's "Dress Like Velma Dinkley" Day?
I actually had a friend that was into fashion design. I wasn't into her ideas but we never trashed each others dress or art. But you have to set boundaries even with friends. Tell them you're not okay with it and if they don't respect that they aren't friends and don't interact with them.
In the game's case you can just respect your own boundaries and not talk to her or try to look at it from another angle, like doing someone a favor or what might work for you, and move on feeling better about it.
I know being told to think about it differently sounds trite but it works. I was having a hard time with my town being threatened by a close fire this season. I did manage to get a different take on it in my mind(kinda personal though) and help myself cope with it better.
At least she got a seashell in her shoe so there is some justice in the world after all
