I've thought about that too. It would allow the skilled players to still benefit from their skill, while others could make up with money/crafting. That being said & still being stuck with the initial economy on the Switch, I really don't want to see something ridiculously expensive or impossible to get for this approach.
I caught like 30-40 fish already, 0 rare, but 2 legendary (they don't matter, they are tooooo good to count). All the others were common/uncommon. I don't know what would be better, some fish upgrade system at the baker bear, a bit toned down quests, or pushing the RNG for the types you need to quests, but as of now i'm really truly mad at the game for forcing me to run around like an idiot and keep fishing for possibly hours.
Oof, didn't know there's a 10 rare fish quest. After the chef's one for 3 rares, I've been stockpiling them just in case. Apparently the 5 I had stashed is not enough.
How many days are you into this game? I don't think I'd mind the '10 rare fish quest' if it happens much later in the game, but within the first month is probably too soon. Maybe this is another issue that lures could fix by attracting certain fish types, but not sure how much of a pain that is to implement.
Somewhere over 25 days (had an early start for review), so there's time for you :) unfortunately i only stocked up with rare shells after the dreaded 5 rare shell mission (only 3 needed now i think), since i had too many things in my tent anyways. + storing fish without refrigeration? with bears around???
I'd also like to see an aquarium (and musuem for non fish stuff) where you can actually display your collection (or at least your favourites!) instead of just a screen with icons you can look at when talking to the captain. I was hoping something like that would unlock the further you play, but seems like that's not the case? ;_;
i totally get that the diff fish styles are supposed to be for ppl who want more of a challenge but like
you are marketing this game as a COZY, CHILL, RELAXING game. so why are so many things frustrating or gated or limited like if its supposed to be relaxing, its really not. so thats where my issue lies because the game touts itself as being this chill place to relax.
so why do you need to make fishing more of a challenge, i see in this thread the devs intended to make it more of a challenge for ppl who wanted a challenge but then why are you saying this is a relaxing game for people who want to relax. make up your mind lol
