The studio was bought by Netflix. They said it MIGHT come to PC but it wont be on Steam. Netflix is working on their own gaming PC platform. Sounds like it will remain exclusive forever.

I went on youtube watched the "Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit | Pre-Reg Trailer" after seen your message..... The new game looks 80% identical to this one, guess we won't miss too much of it??

It'll be new bears and new stories, new decorations and dogs added, but yeah basically the same experience. But possibly less buggy and more user friendly since their reason/excuse for making 2 instead of more DLCs is they were limited by their old coding so wanted to start a new system from scratch and work with the community, via discord, to add what people want.

But I'm sure people will put some game play vids up once it's out and we'll see.

I've got tons of other games to play right now anyway. Been buying too many. But I've followed CG2 since they announced they were going to make it and even after Netflix bought them held onto some hope that after a year or 2 it would become nonexclusive but with what they said recently it sounds like there's no hope of that any more. So that's disappointing.

I don't foresee myself ever having a netflix subscription. I'd also always rather buy a game than "rent" it with a subscription.

Is it exclusive? I looked it up on my phone and got a pre-register link that took me to the google playstore where I hit the install button and supposedly the game will auto-install whenever it releases. So I assume either the exclusivity means I'll need a Netflix account once I open the game app itself to play? or maybe it's not truly exclusive and just belongs to Netflix now? idk

You need a netflix account to play it. I asked them about it on Discord because I also thought it being on the play-store meant maybe it changed. Nope. You need an account for the game.

You need a netflix account to play it.

That makes sense now but also annoying because they allow anybody to just pre-install the app from the app store like nothing. Netflix really should have just made their own game app store where these Netflix exclusives show up.
