I only placed fruit trees next to each other (and a few lights which are classed "natural") for maximum productivity...
But yea, I spent far too much time on things I shouldn't !!!
You could be right but they only planned to update this if there were a huge issue and this would be considered minor. So you'll have to try and ignore it.
They are working on CG2, which unfortunately will be launching a netflix gaming exclusive(so mobile only). Hopefully it comes to steam eventually once the exclusive deal is over.
Regards to CG2, I doubt there will be much improvement in the game mechanics. It will the same game but different map/ items and etc.... however it would nice if there is a function allows you travel between CG1 and CG2 or having some underwater map...I guess I wanted too much.
Yeah I'd have rather CG2 be a DLC island we could go to all in one game. Which would have been a better way to do DLC than what they did do. It's a shame to have a boat and never use it besides one cut scene after fixing, 2 if you count the intro.
The bits I've seen seem like CG2 will be new map and ghosts, with dogs instead of cats. I'm unsure what they are doing that couldn't be done with dlc but that was the reason given for making a new one instead. "to give players what they are asking for we need to make a new game"(paraphrased) Only thing I can think of that fits is people who asked for the ability to visit friends island or play with others and I don't remember hearing anything on that but I've not been that tuned in either.
If it ever makes it to pc I'd still get it since I have enjoyed the story progression but I agree keeping it all one game would have been more user enjoyable.
Please take my sorry for that inventory bug, that must be a right pain at the time.
Personally, I prefer cat much more than dog in real life, but with a bit of hope and common sense, dogs might get along with each other inside the tent, and maybe they can collect some resources for you each day??.... (I just can't imagine what a rainbow dog looks like in this game)
PS: Visit a friend's island and steal their resources would be a nice feature, but that sounds a lot like an old facebook game called Farmville...I rather not go over that game again (after getting complained for sending too many requests
The dogs look like Pomeranians.

Well it's not a rainbow dog, but that's the basic form.
It would be nice if they are useful or at the minimum follow you around. It's kind of sad the cats just sit inside the tent. I have no reason to go in there except to check on them.
I think if they did do visiting it would be more like Animal Crossing and Dinkum where interaction with anything is limited/prohibited unless you give them permissions. People want to show off their island designs to friends. I've not heard news they actually will do that. It would fit the "need to make a new game to implement" excuse but it's more likely they just thought a new game would make more sales than DLC would.
I never played Animal Crossing nor Dinkum, but looks like CG2 is my chance.
Yes. I don't have netflix and don't plan to get it. So it sucks.
Hopefully neflix sees eventually they'll actually make more if they release it to other platforms. So maybe if we're lucky we would see a steam release a year post main release but for now it's exclusive and no announcement for anything else.
