Horned Skull Pattern Help?

There's a pattern that i'm having trouble with. It's a big square with a smaller square within. There's two holes that seem like where the skull should go (One open space in the smaller square, one space in the bigger surrounding square) but neither seem to work

Some of the patterns can be tricky, there might be bushes and stuff obscuring the spot, keep trying different places is all I can say, sometimes what seems like the obvious answer is not the correct one....had some trouble with some of the triangle patterns before I figured out the trick. Be patient and persistent. Good luck!

I had a couple I couldn't figure out. Lots of trial and error, and I eventually gave up and moved on. The patterns seem to change out regularly, so you'll get another opportunity tomorrow. It seems like there should be some kind of hint, at least. For some patterns, it's duplicated nearby in full and you just have to replicate it. The ones that aren't, though.... They can be tough.
