Note: I'm not saying the devs should change anything. Just taking issue with that line of argument. It's not the same and it's disingenuous to suggest it is.
Animal Crossing doesn't really have much in the beginning to do. Maybe the newer games have improved greatly, but in WW, you literally didn't have anything really to do aside from fishing the first week or more (with the occasional NPC quest that you sometimes couldn't complete if you didn't have the right item)... you couldn't even unlock all the content that game had unless you invited people to your town or vise versa. Which is impossible to do now (I still own the game) because they shut the servers down years ago.
This is sweet, not bad game, but stop this "this is same with AC", this is not
Instant gratification is an addiction.
not compareable with animal corssing.
you unlock nothing on first day that lets you have fun.
no planting.
no special collecting
nothing
everything locked to waiting. and the game tells you even on all NPCs : nothing todo here, come back tomorrow.
People shouldn't have to play at a snail's pace to enjoy the story. My other big complaint is about item management/storage. There isn't enough of it.
It's not cozy to me at all that I feel punished because I want to play the game for hours each day- but there's not much to do once the few quests are done/digging is done.
Hopefully a future update helps things.
