What should I do with broken-hearted imps?

Sometimes they only spawn alone, then you'll have to check back later to see if another one appears.

oohh I didn't know about this! I just came to post about only having one heartbroken imp the past couple of days. I'll try to remember to check throughout the day for the other one.

I checked a couple of times throughout the day and their partner didn't show. I baited the lone one a little and lit up more of my island because I didn't know what else to do ^ ^;;

Also, two of my mining nodes are gone. First time that's ever happened. The other three are in the same place.

The imps looking for bon bons (the brown heart shaped food) are never satisfied. I fed one 40 yesterday with no change or reward. Prior I fed it 20 and nothing. This is not just time consuming it wastes resources and is quite unfair. Just make a trap for the ghost perhaps and leave it locked up. This is NOT fun at all.

you have to find the second one and get it follow you to the other one, when they are both close enough is when you get the reward. I also have been having more days of only one appearing at a time, have tried to find the second one at different times, but don't have a lot of time to keep looking so I only bother when I can actually see both on the island, sometimes one disappears after the time it takes to have the Chef bear make the bonbons.

I think it's currently a bug where one disappears when you log out of the game. Right now, you need to have Bon Bons ready and connect them when you first log in for the day and see two of them.

There is also a bug, at the moment, when they don't find each other even when they are close. Hope the next patch will correct it.

Imp essence is a real problem. Either the imps don't drop essence when you feed them or the broken-hearted ones scam you out of the bon bons.

Of all the times I managed to find them across 39 days, the first time I didn't know what to do, fed them 20 bon bons and got scammed. The second time I knew what to do and was lucky. The next two times I did what should have worked but they scammed me again since they just kept crying next to each other while eating my bon bon supply. The fifth time was another unlikely success and the sixth time another scam. So, currently, I am sitting atop a 33% success rate with with the broken-hearted imps.

Imp essence supply? Nowhere to be seen. Can't even buy plants properly because some of them charge imp essence (especially happy imp essence. To me this is the single rarest resource in the game) and I have almost none to offer.

I was eager to test if patch 1.8.0 resolved the imp proximity bug, but since it updated, I'm stuck with a single brokenhearted imp :( (first day I had 2 but they were far apart and I didn't have time to take care of them; day 2 & 3, there was only one of them :( ).

I have had no problems with the imps of late. I bait one by throwing hearts and I discovered you can back track a trail and bait the imp onto the trail and it will follow it all the way to the other imp and gives some nice prizes.

Yesterday and today the imps have been kinder to me. They spawned near each other twice in a row and their detection of one another has definitely improved (maybe it was the latest patch released on the [beta] branch), saving me some bon bons in the process. Also, I've been getting more imp essence as a reward since then too, maybe some fine tuning was made or maybe it's just my luck, but the situation has definitely improved.

Today (52), at last, *before* feeding Flamey, 2 imps, not to far away from each other, and I even managed to have them meet!
(Hope my curse is over ^^).
