Yeah I think this is it.
Yeah. Although I think it makes a certain intuitive sense if we think the flora on the island are reincarnated sentient spirits that some of them would be snobby but plain, and hard to get along with. Something like Elena in Spiritfarer for example--can you imagine her getting along with another version of herself???
Decorating is supposed to be one of the things we can continue doing when we've run out of the "daily" things, so I really hate that we're getting penalized for following a theme just because it's not good enough... And furniture isn't exactly cheap to craft or buy! I don't have a lot of options here.
Which, in turn, leads us into situation where in order to go around of that ridiculous "common thing hates other common things" problem - you need to invest A LOT of resources and efforts. Which is kinda...meh, to say the least.
I understand "bird hates other birds" - okay, let's leave it somewhere alone. If "deer hates imps" - okay, lots of places without imps. But "common hates common" when common rarity is the only one you have...
First, at least for me, there is not enough space to fit everything - only space around the campfire and another one at the beach with an artifact. I'm at day 14, so i'm guessing there will be more places like that, but still, i would love to have a "main" big piece of land to start with. And those smaller land lots could be used to create more specific "bioms" for more demanding birds / plants / etc. I guess just increasing the campfire area would do the trick.
Second, common / uncommon dislikes should be removed. Instead, maybe make it so the better rarity gives more happiness to birds and plants. Instead of just rarity, dislikes should be more specialised, like one type of bird shouldn't like some other type of bird, certain trees don't like other certain trees, stuff like that. this way we'd still have a bit of a challenge and have to plan where to put everything, but atleast won't have to worry about rarity.
I did not know that! I will try, thanks :D
