Please fix FOV being too low, sickness inducing
Please allow us to set the first person FOV up to 100, the way it's implemented it's very sickness inducing at max 80. Plus it gives everything a very weird fisheye lens effect that's very distracting in itself.

I'm also having some issues with the FOV, I've been testing different settings but I'm still getting dizzy from playing.
The fisheye lens effect is also causing some discomfort.

The game in general has a good feel about it, sadly the issues with the FOV is becoming a gamebreaker for me.

Are there any plans for improving this?

We're taking allllll of this feedback right now. Would you mind sharing your resolution and what you're setting FOV to?

Thanks for posting this. Was considering getting the game, but yeah this FOV would definitely make me sick and make the game unplayable.

FYI I'm on an ultra wide screen, 3440x1440 and typically run an FOV of 100-110

I'm glad I read the reviews as I am quite susceptible to motion sickness in certain first person games.

FOV would be a good start but if you are like me it alone might not be enough. There are certain games that just induce motion sickness even with FOV changes and it's not exactly clear why. Valve's Portal series immediately comes to mind. Hopefully this gets addressed as Satisfactory definitely needs some competition.

I have the same problem, max FOV of 80 @ 1920x1080 and I get sick the second I turn the camera. This feels too unnatural and I´m usually not getting motion sick. Lower FOV is even worse. Can´t say anything else about the game because I can´t exist in fishmode for longer than a minute.

Edit: Using the workaround from the pinned thread worked. Apparently all settings had one 0 too much.

please add the option for vertical fov scaling, in addition to raising the limit

fov that im used to is ~120 without fisheye. this game goes fisheye at 80 for first person fov.

even if the slider does not go past 80 for field of view, please give us an ini config file to manually change it and experiment to see what fov the game can handle easily.

Generally speaking (on widescreen displays at least) the fish-eye effect gets worse when you increase the FOV and lessens with lower FOV. I haven't had time to fire up this game and test it but that's how it was in other games where I noticed the issue (eg. Quake Champions, Bioshock Infinte and M&B Bannerlord).

I am using a regular 1440p monitor, and experience no "fish eye" at 80 fov. It certainly feels better than Minecraft, by comparrison.

Yeah, you're onto something, for example, games like Green Hell and Escape Simulator have a weird kind of camera viewpoint where you feel like a floating dot that can look at your feet.
Green Hell does have FOV numbers that are high, but it still feels really weird.

Please not just on the INI because some of us are on the Windows Store/Game Pass version. This just needs to be taken care of in a serious manner.

2560*1440 and the FOV basically makes the game a sickness inducing simulator for me.
It's unplayable. 90-120 is more where it should be at for me typically.... Having 80 as the limit is wierd and not a great look tbh.

Just sharing that we're on this. It'll be more than a single patch for it, but it's coming.

1920x1080
Tried different FOV settings but none that worked really well.

I am playing on 5120x1440 (basically 2*2560x1440 but in one go, haha) and 120 is not even close... The textures on the sides stretched reeeally much =(
