Core Composer placement, please help?
I am freaking loving this game. I've reached a point where I'd like to make/place a core composer. I cannot figure out how to place it down, keeps saying 'invalid placement'

So naturally I do a Steam Forum Search. Someone said a 12x12 grid? To build it along the river well I'm using 5x5 Calcycite (sp) platforms. I laid down 4x4 of the 5x5 grids does that make sense?

I've also used my drill to clear out any stalgmites hanging down to basically raise the ceiling; still wont place.

Then I did a search online saw a video that a guy is laying down "Power Floors" saw I do not own it, nor is it in my tech tree but now as I'm writing this i'm wondering if they changed the name from Power Floor to the above *platforms? Ok maybe ill continue to watch the video

His videos showed he laid down a 15x15 grid. But I dont know how big that is, especially when I'm using a 5x5 tile and laying down a 4x4

The "C"s represent the tiles I've laid down and while it looks like my composer can fit...it wont place down as it says "invalid placement

1.0 completely changed composers.

They now are rather boxes where the cores are "stored", 100 for each layer.

The horizontal area still is 12x12.
The three variations 2k, 4k, 8k can store up to that number. Their core towers are 20,40,80 Voxels in height. That and the 2 Voxels height of the composer has to be completely empty.

2k and 4k comfortably fit right on top (of platforms) on top of the water in front of Victor.
8k can fit on 4-hydro at the waterfall hole.

Placing them is a pain, as stuff blocking their placement usually is high above, out of sight.

Cranking up the Field of view setting to its maximum can add some guidance. And can cause seasickness.

Or you scrap all that and instead go to a level's top and (once available) 12x12 mole core shafts[i.imgur.com]
