It's 0.3. Very early access. These things will come in time, don't worry! What other QOL features do you recommend? :)

The hot-key-bar/toggling the plethora of things that need to be used is a little clunky.. The addition of a copy ability is very handy for building, but doesn't help for all the tools that need swapping (or things that aren't nearby from which to copy)..

Possible suggestions:
a) allow item use/equip direct from inventory menu (middle mouse perhaps?).
b) allow tools to be 'equipped' and have a button (or mouse-wheel) to cycle [like weapons in an FPS].
c) a cycle button (or mouse-wheel) for items that are in the hotkey bar (F10 is a little far away from any fingers).
d) pop-up radial menu for equipment and another for constructables/buildables (though that could get a little cumbersome clunky too).
e) a key to swap MKs within the group of buildables that's selected (or other types too, e.g., inserters could be cycled, building pieces could be cycled).
f) allow railrunners to be equipped while other things are also equipped (I haven't used them yet, but as they don't display when equiped, presumably they're on your feet). Even better, forget them as an item, and just have them as a suit upgrade.
g) allow hotkey bar swapping (have a few banks that you can cycle with mouse-wheel + hold a key).

Just suggestions; no criticism, it's a great game so far!

A couple of things you may not know for what you said:
The mouse wheel alternates between items in the hot bars.
You can have up to 8 hot bars.
Shift+Mousewheel and Ctrl+Mousewheel alternate top and bottom hotbars between those 8 hotbars you can have.
Railrunner doesn't need to be equiped in the hotbar to be used, Once it's on your inventory it'll work.

If you go to Options -> Controls you can see all this and remap the miriad of shortcuts they have defined.

BTW the additional hotbars are activated by the Toolbelt upgrades. You need to get to XRAY to get those.

Awesome, thanx. That'll help a lot.
Kicking myself for not looking at the control settings, usually it's the first thing I do..
thank GOD there's an off setting for it in the menu. oh and they have "input smoothing" what kind of Ahole puts that on by default?
