Leave laser arena
Followed the signal and noticed the elevator thingy going down. Went on it and it moved down to the new content, but I don't have enough cores to teleport back, the elevator doesn't go up and teleporter seemed broken and I could only scan it and then it disappeared.

... so is there a way to get back to the base without using respawn?

ESC button and you see an respwan button on the screen

You've probably figured it out. You can build a new nexus if you have the materials. You can plant an accumulator and a couple of crank power elements to charge it.

Yeah, as mentioned I actually used the respawn feature, as I couldn't have done anything else. As for the teleporters I never connected them to anything and they are showing 0 for power, but still work for me ... weird but kind of like it that way ;-)

Thank you for that, I was about to uninstall the game at the prospect of having to start over!

Hey there! Although I know you folks have used Respawn already, did you also get the dialogue wherein Sparks said it was nice to find a Fast Travel point, as the floor-o-vator felt like a one way trip? (You can check in your Audio Log menu!)

If not, and you want to try for it, I would revisit the arena and walk up to the Nexus in the middle. After that, interacting with and warping from that Flag Nexus should work.

If it doesn't, we would love to know! Thanks again!

Having experienced that just yesterday, i have to say that i managed look around the area, try the "red" gate, notice it wasn't online... and then kinda giving up as i didn't think the others would be online as well. I kinda stumbled through the center which gave me the Sparks dialogue and the Fasttravel worked from the center one.

So i can see why someone might just "respawn".

Heya! I definitely feel that your feedback makes perfect sense. I'll pass it along!

Hello, this area is a smidge problematic from a game play perspective. For example I got back from work, logged into the area, checked the teleporter, it wasn't working. Realized I had no memory AT ALL of how I got into the room, proceeded to walk around in circles for about 5 minutes looking for an exit, before trying the teleporter again. Luckily at that time it was usable, but I cannot tell you how annoyed I would have been if it was not. I did not know about the respawn feature before this thread either.

The whole experience felt a lot like leaving the mall only to realize you have no recollection of where you parked your car, and the parking lot is huuuuge. XD

Hi there, and I feel you on that, too!

I don't know if this would have helped in this situation, but we sometimes suggest checking out the Audio Log in times like these. Maybe it will help in the future!

Although the Journal does keep track of your Tasks, it doesn't tell you when nor what order you received them in. However, your Audio Log keeps any dialogue events sorted according to when you experienced them. So if Sparks gave you some instructions or you heard some descriptive dialogue before you last logged off, it should be right at the top of the list to read and/or listen to!

Even with that, though, we would hope that both exploration and progress felt fun and intuitive rather than too tough and confusing. I will add your feedback, too!

I remember that but didn't connect the dots, after I found the blue or red flag travel point without power I thought maybe I had to complete the laser tutorial and didn't want to do that.

I thought I'd checked all three pads but obviously not, I felt sure they were all dead even when I looked at the list with the bolt symbol, just didn't put that together.

Perhaps if Spark's comment is triggered at a later/different time/event or change the dialogue so she says something like "have to find one with power" as I built a crank and realised there's no way that'll generate 10MW so spent more time looking for a power source.

For me I also walked around the area for few minutes, even jumped on top of the border and all I saw around was unbreakable fence, but the first travel point I reached (turned out was at the back), was telling me that I need to research the laser gun, even tho I had like 16 of them (or so) in my pocket, which is why I haven't even tried any of the other gates and ended up respawning.

defo was weird that somehow middle is powered but the ones at each end wern't i ended up using respawn as well to get out - felt like why is there no button to send the lift back up spent ages looking for one

I got the dialog, have the pistol, NONE of them have power after checking all 3 several times. They all want 10MJ of power. I spent 30 minutes just trying to leave. I had to use respawn to get out... I was all excited to find something underground so big. Then I am like really? Laser tag? What made the developer think this was a good idea is beyond me. We didn't want laser tag. This was frustrating to say the least. So frustrating and immersion breaking I am just going back to Satisfactory.

I did not get the Sparks dialogue at all after walking into/around all three teleporter. All three show as having no charge, but apparently you can use the center one regardless. I would never have thought to try this had I not found this post. Unfortunate that the room still seems buggy as of 1.0.

Yeah, I found this confusing as well. Thought I was trapped before deciding to check the flag teleporter. In retrospect, I think maybe the blue power icon next to the flag teleporter was there on the first nexus I checked. But this being my first encounter with them, it wasn't obvious to me what to do.
