Yeah and that makes pathing for rails really annoying. Do you have any tips for making it less of a hassle?
Well that sucks. There goes my plan to use the rivers as pathways for rails. Oh well.
rivers are poor monorail placements anyways. Irregular pathways and not enough vertical clearance.
Dig dedicated tunnels 5x9 for monorails.
It only takes like 6-10 minutes to tunnel from Lima to Victor to X-Ray (through hydro plant and elevator caves). Map is not really that big.
You theoretically CAN use rivers as monorail tracks, but you would have to place foundation pillars into the riverbed, gotta keep rails high, otherwise irregular heighs will more then likely prevent you from rail-surfing. And you will still need to dig ceilings out.
Rivers kinda suck, but so long as you place poles right on hight difference lips they're generally workable.
