Conveyor woes
Dev suggestion: Could we get better control over conveyor splits and intersections? Right now with the automatic way of doing it, it's frustrating when you are trying to run conveyors close to each other and certain rotations cause the tracks to join together.

So if you are not aware. You can you use the "R" key to rotate the belts. I'm not saying this is any better but you can break a splitter or setup one up by rotating the belts.

That's exactly the mechanic I'm talking about when I said "certain rotations cause the tracks to join together." I have a few areas where I have to be careful with how conveyor lines are terminated (rotation wise) because they might join up with a line ran next to them or pass in front of them. I'm much more of a fan of games where you can intentionally place splitters and joiners rather than the game automatically applying them due to certain conveyor arrangements. Having that control gives a bit more control in creating compact builds.

Again, it's not a deal breaker, just a request is all.

Yeah, it's this reason I want the splitter/merger to be a crafted item you place yourself.

I concur. Splitters/combiners and possibly even programmable distributors should be a manufactured item, (MK I /II/III speeds) it'd be nice to get inserters programmable for 90vs180 and in mki/ii/iii speed versions (although the stack inserters already have MKI-IV with the Stack increases)

Completely agree about having right angle inserters, or even just have them be a tech unlock that adds a feature to existing inserters to rotate input and output seperately (so you can do left 90, 180, and right 90)

As someone who has come from satisfactory it would be nice to have the splitter/ merger as a seperate item
