8 Tap Wires

Has anyone been to the "Pulse Situation Room" and then been asked to locate, scan and return 8 tap wires to that room? I have a few orange dots appear on the screen which I've attempted to follow but with no joy, have any of you had any luck? Thanks

I had found 6 of them before even going to the pulse room, the orange dots lead you right to them.
Just gotta find the closest place to them and dig the rest of the way

Well I've been searching for nearly an hour now and not a thing, dug out 20 ton of limestone and blasted masses of atlantum and got nowhere, must admit locating places is not my strong point. Any clues please Fenix to where I might find an easy one so I can at least make a start. Apologies for troubling you again but you're obviously a lot better at this game than me, thanks.

Is there a clue to when you're getting close to one, does the dot get larger or brighter?

Nah it’s pretty static, but they are kinda hidden in the scannable walls just scan all the pieces you’ll find them eventually

You do know how to use the 3d map?
You need look for hollowed out area. And the structures built from the new buildables is where you’ll find them

Hi Fenix, unfortunately I'm not very good with the map so I may have to hold off until someone provides a you tube video so I can watch that and understand what to look for. Sadly nobody appears to have got this far yet apart from yourself which is surprising as I've managed to do it, with quite a bit of help from you of course. Thanks again.

Not sure whether you made this video specifically for me but if you did I can't thank you enough. After my last post yesterday I did find the very large structure on the map which is shown in a beige colour. However I was still unable to locate any of the tap wires, I buried miles into the hillside chasing orange dots but nothing ever appeared?? I'll have another look around the large structure as I didn't demolish everything yet and then I'll dig in a bit further. I have loads of coolant so can dig quite quickly but I seem to be going nowhere! I can follow the map reasonably well but I'm not too sure about getting to the correct level. Thanks again for everything it is greatly appreciated.

Yes I saw it thank you but I haven't been able to locate it despite scanning every machine/container in the structure and destroying a majority of the actual structures themselves until I got fed up!! I've started to wonder if there is a problem with my game, maybe I missed doing something earlier that is preventing me from finding the wires now as I haven't really had that much of a problem finding things before and to have have found none at all despite hours of searching is a bit worrying. I'm not sure what I can do now as I'm getting nowhere but that isn't really your problem as you've done everything you possibly could to help me and I can't thank you enough for that. find Excalibur and you will find what your looking for , i had problems too , but did it all.

Thank you "oldy666" but I haven't come across Excalibur yet and have been virtually everywhere, any clues please. Happy Christmas.

Pulse room has 1 x tapwire. The other 7 are located in 6 locations. All large caverns not far from another cavern or passageway. I got all 7 in less than an hour of searching.

The easiest to find is through the wall to the right of Xray. You need to use the map and watch the compass top right. It shows distance to the tapwire. Run down passageways watching the distance drop on the compass. Then stand pointing towards target and go to map. You should see a cavern on the map with dark space in between it and you. Drill in that direction. Once in a cavern head towards target. When you are on top of it the target will disappear. Search including upwards.

I did have an issue after logging out and in where the tapwire did not show on the compass.
Assume that was a bug.
