How do I angle a conveyor up?

For example, if I have a conveyor running along the ground and want to staircase it up to a higher platform I've built, I see no way to do so.

best way I've found is to create a staircase out of powered floors or build the belt backwards.

going from the high place to the low place, should work, in theory.
If not, stair step power floors.
