Bug? - Pack Size

Looking at the icon for Pack Size, it appears to be for containers. I've unlocked Pack Size 2 & 3 with no change in container inventory size. All new containers placed remain the default 7x8 grid. After placing my old containers in a chest, i crafted a couple new ones and they too remain at the 7x8 grid.

It's for your inventory. It allows you to carry more before you get encumbered and slow down. It's not for storage container size.
