Unable to Locate Senior Expeditionary Officer to unlock security at elevator

I have completed Victor and provided power to the freight elevator and I was putting some of the requested items in it when it blinked to a security check screen. I have unlocked every door I can find (only one left is behind the door that won't open till elevator is unlocked). I went back several times to each of these and cannot find anything else to scan. What am I missing?

That Officer should be Paladin in the green cube, you can pick him up at the crashed drillship or something? it should be a bit northeast of Victor-Station where you are supposed to first encounter the green stuff.

Ok I will check out Paladin again. That is the only place I haven't gone to multiple times.

If you say "again" then i take it you have picked up the green cube and carry it around with you? that should give you the security-clearance. If it doesn't there may be a quest-trigger-bug.

Thank you, this was exactly what I was missing. I ended up restarting the game because I made so much progress without the green cube. That had so much story to it that I had no choice to start over. Got it as early as possible this time and it was well worth the restart.

You don't have to carry them with you, you'll still get dialogue with them sitting in a chest

::blink:: Put sparks and paladin in a chest, to suffer in a cold, dark, enclosed space while we're out exploring, seeing the sights?

Why did I not try that myself and gain two inventory slots?! I was always concerned I'd lose some of the voice lines if one or the other wasn't with me.
