Monorail Track: Is there a trick?
I place a monorail station, and have like 30 pieces of track in my inventory, but run into a problem when I try to lay any of that track down.

Trying to put any of it anywhere just highlights that square in blue. However, getting near the station, it locks on and is willing to "extend" the track. It get the blue outline of a pillar with track attached to it, can rotate it, and adjust the height.

However, when I try to place it anywhere, nothing happens. I just get a little shake.

I can place track directly between two stations that are across from one another, but I can't place track from a station to somewhere in the world.

I'm assuming I am stupid and am just missing something, but maybe I've hit a bug?

It connects with the Poles AND the Track, but once 2 depots are connected, nothing gets transported, regardless how much power I throw at it (i have over 1000 MW and 10 batteries at both ends (Elevator and Hydro), but no lime is transmitted and the power in the depot screen shows a red triangle warning...) no idea what that is telling me.

And yes, I have the Elevator base connected with a high voltage stepper...

Sorry you're having further issues - Are both your depots on the same power network? We are currently tracking a bug that might cause this problem, if so.

Elevator is powered via high voltage cable and stepper. The floor is lit. I did NOT connect the Hydro and Elevator areas by the powered floor tiles.

The Elevator (assuming you are referring to the Freight Elevator in the Northwest) isn't connected to Monorail Depots - it's a separate story-related object. Each monorail depot needs to be powered by a network of power floors with sufficient accumulators to meet their power requirement. If you are building a monorail depot on the power floors near the Elevator, you'll need to power the floor network separately from the Freight Elevator.

Totaly missed that there were poles. Might want to mention something about them in the Monorail "tutorial" text.

We're aware we need to polish some of the tutorials, thank you for your patience!

I did before I saw this reply. I did power it with 4/8 water wheels/gens. The top right hand corner of the Depot says Active and green, but nothing is moving. I will wait for an update. The depot transport is nice to have at this point, so not a major blocker for me. Thanks for the game - having a great time with the story and gameplay!
