Transmit electricity vertically?
Is this an option? Been playing for most of the day on game pass and I'm finding it rather tedious to have to build generators for every floor of a factory, especially when a factory isn't on floor level with a river. I thought the powered floors would transmit vertically but they don't seem to. I have 4 different water wheels all in a river connected via flooring, and my threshers are all listing 'unpowered.' =/

Build a column of power floors!

Does it need a specific thickness? Or is there just a limit to how far generators can transmit? Because I already have a column, 1 block thick, connecting into my factory, and it refuses to power anything via the waterwheels. I still have to use a crank.

You'll still need to have your waterwheels hooked up directly to the generators for it to generate power. As long as the generators are placed and working correctly, a vertical tower of power floors will transmit electricity.

Alright, what exactly does a water wheel require to generate power? Because I have put it in every body of water I could find with no result, with or without something to receive the power it generates. x-x I really hope this is just a case of my tired brain.

Water Wheels do not generate power. Water Wheels turn the Crank on the Crank Generator continuously, so you do not need to visit the Crank Generator every 5 minutes...

You need to connect it to a crank generator!

To make a long story short, your Crank Generators and your Water Wheels need to be placed at the same level, inline with each other, so that they connect. The Water Wheels will turn the Crank Generator, which then generates power. Water Wheels need to be IN the River and the Crank Generators need to be next to them ON POWERED FLOORS connected to any location that needs power via Powered Floors.

I have my Power Area right next to Victor Station and connected via a single-wide set of Powered Floors to the Accumulators not TOO far away. My excess power gets dumped into the Accumulators.
