This is a no go for me. I really wanted to try it but am handicapped and can't play without controller. I don't understand why any playtest or early access should ever be released without controller support.

How is it a no go? You said you need a controller and they are adding controller support.

Controller support is not currently implemented for EA launch but the team is working on adding this in a future update!
