So maybe ? would help to know what you liked so much in lords of the fallen.
Well i'll give you some pointers about the unique mechanics of this game.
You start with Terrence (Old dude on the cover of the game) wich play with a cane (light attacks) and sword (heavy attacks) with the defaullt roll dodge and a parry (he gets more stuff with upgrades but that the gist of it).
You unlock other playable characters as you progress the story (one after each main area) up to 5.
In this order Mask dude (tank slowest character), Viola (gun lady, fast), Nun (Fast has a rythm combo mechanic) and fencer dude (you need to backtrack in an area after beating it to unlock him he is linked to a DLC area but you can leave the dlc and play him in main game)
When you go on area you pick two characters but terrence (old dude) is always chosen by default so you can only pick a secondary one, to change you need to get back to the hub (there are checkpoints).
When one of your character die you don't game over but get to play as the remaining one (even against bosses) they don't share healing items.
Game does have Loot but no cosmetics and you can build your character to some extent (you choose stats after leveling) Level is shared among characters so don't worry, but the Skill tree upgrades are not each character gets his own Tree where they can unlock new stuff.
There is a sanity mechanic the more mobs you kill the crazier your character get on first stage it gives you one debuff and one buff wich is character specific (terrence lose his first dodge animation but gain a bit more damage) on second stage an invader (npc) playing as one of your character chase you and don't stop till it's killed.
Whoever against boss entering the second stage of sanity make bosses go into a new phase with new moves and heal them back to 50 % HP (you need to kill boss in this state to unlock the true ending of the game)
Also the sanity make your screen have a weir FOV effect that can now be canceled in the options since last update (cool).
Game Has 8 main areas (1 is dlc) took me 40 hours to beat (i did quite a bit of backtracking for sidequest and looking for secrets) i didn't really dwelve into the boss rush mode and "dungeon" dlc for lack of a better term, overall great for what was originally a mobile game i love the cool concept they took for the characters upgrade tree and bosses where overall entartaining story was good enough and hilarious with the voice acting (KEK), it's graphically outdated but the art direction specially for the playable characters is great.
I will buy it now. I like ds too and have replay ds2 ( boths version ) and ds3 for some weeks ago. Have was really fun even if I should want a LotF 2 then ds4.
Thanks anyway for the helps
