Hi. Currently there's not a save and load system in place, you have to unlock each scenario in a single sitting.
After the next two planned campaigns (that are scheduled for release early this year) the plan is to work on the save system since functionally it'll mostly be completed and it minimises the risk of save game consistency issues while the game is changing.
Regards
You should at least say in the store description that there is no save system at this time. I wouldn't have needed to refund the game since I would have never bought if I knew this.
Having said that, the game itself is great. It is a throwback to the old rome games from sid meyers (sp?). Once the save button is in, I suspect I would spend hours on this game.
Hey there
I've been looking into the feasibility of introducing a save/load system and I keep running into a series of issues I can't resolve without rewriting most of the game.
That being the case I've added new scenarios in the various campaigns and reduced their length so you can get through them in around 15-40 minutes. The idea was generally that these were meant to played in a single session and after each scenario the next one unlocks. You can either continue playing or next time you start the game it'll be accessible in the campaign menu.
I'm not confident I'll be able to get a save/load system going unless I make some serious breakthroughs
I really think you should reflect this on the game Steam page. So that potential buyers can not waste their hard earned money and time. Quite a shame.
Hi, thank you for the reply.
Good to know that at least general "progress" is saved at the moment, since I wasn't even sure about that. Obviously, I would also like a save function for (primarily) sandbox maps, but since you are still regularly updating the gameplay/campaigns, I understand that it might be pushed until full release.
Anyway, aside from that, the game does look intriguing so I will give it a try.
Doesn't have mid scenario saving but I haven't needed it as have been able to clear most scenarios in a single sitting.
On one hand you are loosing sales cause of it. On the other, review mentioning it just saved you from refund.
If this game will ever again show up on my steam store and saves mechanism will be there I will buy it. But frankly speaking both things are not particularly likely to happen, and for both to happen in correct order probably won't ever happen -.-
Good luck.
You should inform people about lack of saving, at least some players are sharing this info
