So let me understand about licensing. If I buy Substance Painter / Steam today, my subscription (which includes all updates for the year) lapses on Dec. 31. But I can still download the standalone version and keep running it AFTER Dec. 31? What about commercial use? Thx.

Hi, no the linking to a standalone version has been discontinued. Steam licenses run for the duration of the calendar year. Commercial use is allowed as long as you (or your company) make less than $100k/year
