Is there a way to link steam Substance Painter with Substance 3D Account?

I purchased a license for Substance Painter but i dont know where can i sync my steam account with my substance 3d account. Am I doing something wrong or its no longer possible and i'll always require steam to install substance?

Linking licenses is no longer supported, so you'll need Steam to launch the app.

Is this still a perpetual license on Steam even though I can't link it? As long a Steam exists?

I think so yes. Perpetual indie licenses (as of now and until Adobe does some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ changes in the licensing) are only available on Steam. Rest all are subscription based which are available via the Substance3d Website.

Thanks for the confirmation. After I posted this I found the comments on Substance web site that confirmed this. I have very little issue with the fact that I have to use only Steam now, but there are many others that refuse to use Steam for some strange reason. I posted this mostly to confirm on the Trainz forum that this was the way it was. Thank you for your time.

That's pretty disappointing as the official Substance to Unreal addon linked to on the main Substance Website requires Launcher integration, making the plugin entirely useless for Steam users. Is there any chance of that plugin being updated, or are UE/Steam users just dead in the water?
