Help - Stuck in billions

My game has come to a halt. Stuck in the billions. All my upgrades take a literal half an hour to get 1 temple for example. Everything is so slow and trying to get my 2nd Legacy is extremely slow. I hate to leave the game open and come back just to get a few upgrades. Surely there's something I'm missing or done wrong and need to wipe my game and reset. Any tips, or is it just a waiting game from here on out

After playing the game for a day or two you will unlock Sugar Lumps. These will let you unlock minigames under specific buildings. Experiment with what they can do for you- you can find powerful buffs and bonuses. If you're playing the game actively, you might be able to click on Golden Cookies which grant short turn buffs. It may be possible to stack more then one of these at a time, granting a huge windfall of cookies which will speed up your advancement!
