Is save scumming still a thing ?
Hi, so i'm trying to get the infamous juicy queenbeet. I tried to save scum but it seems not to work on the steam version, tick time still continues as i quit or reload the game. Am I doing it wrong or was it fixed ?

the game now automatically keeps track of the ticks and saves it;
that's why this trick no longer works. there is a workaround to this.

you can still save-scum; but not in the way you're thinking. After importing your save, you do have to wait 3 minutes for the tick. If you're only wanting one Juicy Queenbeet, then wait until any Queenbeets have died before importing your save again. If you're wanting four Juicy Queenbeet, then you would want to import on a per-tick result.

The thing about Garden savescumming - it's a little confusing to understand. This tripped me up for a long time, but I'll try to explain:

So let's say that you save some time before a tick happens. Then you reload and wait for the tick. The tick happens and you don't get what you want. You refresh and you still don't get what you want, and now it's at the beginning of the next tick, so you can't savescum anymore, right?

well, actually, WRONG. you CAN still save-scum, but it now has to be done in a different way.

Well, the thing is that the current tick keeps going until it runs out, even if the game is closed. However, it will not begin doing the next tick when the game is closed - in fact, the results of the current tick are actually computed the moment the game loads, and they won't be saved unless you intentionally save.

So if you refresh at this point, it will actually recompute the results of the current tick, which will almost certainly be different. Hopefully this explanation makes sense.

Easy explaination here.

1 - Have one tab open.
2 - Save like 5 seconds before the next tick happens.
Open 30 tabs. Close the tab you are on if the result is not the one you wanted.
If needed and all tabs had nothing, open another 30 tabs.

Ctrl + W closes the current tab. It takes about a minute to get any noticeable results.
