Cookie Clicker

Ver estadísticas:
Steam just updated my Cookie Clicker application, and upon logging back in, all of my progress is gone. I periodically saved to the cloud. Why is my progress gone and how can I pull from the cloud my last save from my last session?
See title. 1,458 hours are logged on Steam, but my progress in-game no longer reflects that.

Thank you for this! Unfortunately, it seems the file size in incredibly small (3.95 KB), which indicates to me that my other larger file is gone. (It's also downloading as a .txt file, and I'm too dumb to figure out how to test this file in-game).

Open the txt file, you'll see a lot of letters and numbers. Copy all that code and use it to import savegame (in Cookie clicker game).

Ah sheesh, it looks like it's only loading the fresh game that overrode what I have in the cloud... Is there another alternative?

I guess not. Unfortunately people sometimes loses their Cookie Clicker, so it's a good idea to periodically export you game and backup it (Google Docs is useful for that).

Mine is having the same problem. There's nothing there from the 500+ hours I've put into it. :(

Thanks a lot!! Your solution works on me and I can fix the save data
I tried all of this and for some reason my files on the steam cloud thing were gone and replaced by a much lower thing, called awful Biscuits bakery, and i don't recall every being named that. So if you guys are having a similar issue and fixed it please let me know. I don't want to lose my 500 hours I have in cookie clicker.

I just started playing yesterday and lost the 8 hours (thankfully only 8 hours in my case). Local and cloud save files were overwritten by the point I realised what happened. I had a few buildings, but way less than yesterday, when I finished and it was also not an old save from myself (it had a factory, but no mines build and that was never the case when I played). Maybe these informations help the devs figuring out what happened, so the people with more game hours can get their saves back.
Edit: My name was also changed to Awful Biscuit and I'm playing on Mac

Whooa !
I can't imagine to lose my save file ... sorry for you.
A little bit too late for you , but strong advice for others that may read this "before this happens" : take some time ( 5mn) to regularly copy your save file from the game on another location ... I took the habit to keep a copy on my side once a month ... just in case of ...

Apparently It is useful ... :(
