Reindeer cookies or shimmering veil?
You can unlock all of the seasonal cookies without deactivation shimmering veil - except the reindeer cookies. Reindeer cookies give +14% CPS. Shimmering veil gives (at least) 50%. If I were to unlock the reindeer cookies and then reactivate shimmering veil, it seems as if it would be a serious delay in my CPS and ascension. How do you handle this? Skip reindeer cookies altogether? Skipping the reindeer cookies seems to be the right play.

No, it's better skipping shimmering veil, anyway golden cookie combos are much better than shimmering veil ever will be. It's only fit for when you leave game for a very long time and don't plan to come back any soon.

Also you know you can reactivate shimmering veil if you really need one.

I am primarily playing idle right now. So its better to get the reindeer cookies and then get shimmering veil?

Yeah, that's it. Getting both bonuses this way.
