Golden Cookies no longer naturally appearing?

Since I purchased the golden switch while ascending, no golden cookies nor wrath cookies spawn on this new run . To clarify, I haven't turned it on and my CPS is not +50%, so they should still be spawning.
Force the hand of fate within the grimoire will still summon a golden cookie, but that is the only way you can get one it seems!

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

There are several golden coockie upgrades which make them appear more often like "Lucky day" or the "golden goose egg" for example. Without these upgrades they appear less often. Perhaps you bought these upgrades in your last run but not in this run

The upgrades won't show up for purchase until clicking the first golden cookie, so it takes a while to get started on a new Ascension. And without them the cookies also disappear quickly so it's possible one came and you missed some. This part will get easier on new Ascensions once you have the sound alert for golden cookies.

Yeah, right after an Ascension the Golden Cookie spawn rate is -really- slow compared to what it's at with both Speed Clovers. If you don't have the Golden Chime, you need to sit around pretty intently to make sure you don't miss one so that you can re-enable the Clovers ASAP.

I have recently gotten this issue as well. I've had a new run going for 27 minutes and still no cookies. I just acended again because my prior run of about half an hour generated no golden cookies either.

i've found it helpful to keep one of the clover upgrades in my ascension's permanent slots
