Halloween?

I just opened my game and got a message for a Halloween event. This is my first event for this game, so how do I access it?

click on the ghost on the right side, to activate helloween

I don't see a ghost anywhere.

You get Halloween upgrade cookies from popping wrinklers during Halloween.

The ghost on the right is from season switcher heavenly upgrade and is only relevant if you want to acivate the Halloween event when it's not the actual Halloween season.

Wrinklers ? Do they randomly pop up like Golden Cookies?

afaik they only come if your grannies are freaking out
the upgrade to achieve this is "one ghost" or at least i think so as its "ein geist" in german

I can tell you're new, so lemme tell ya! After ascending, you can unlock seasonal cookies, which swap seasons. You can unlock Christmas, and by extension, Santa Claus, Halloween, Valentine's day, Business day, and Easter. In order to get the cookies once in the event, you will need angered grandmas, which is unlocked in the store on the right within your upgrades found via research facility. Hope this helps!

There are seven Halloween cookie upgrades you can get by bursting the wrinklers. Each wrinkler you pop has a 5% chance of giving one - but if it randomly selects a cookie you already have, it doesn't roll again. The wiki estimates around 363 wrinklers to get all of them, but your mileage may vary.

So, this is new (I should have kept up). I bought the Halloween biscuit and was confused as to why I had no ghosts floating by. I guess I'll have to try again and anger the grandmas (which I'm loathe to do).
Are there any other changes to the seasons to which we need to be aware?

There's never been any ghosts floating by for the Halloween season. Unless you mean you were expecting it to be like Christmas with the Reindeer, in which case, Easter does the same thing as Halloween (but with more drops, and dropping from Wrinklers and Golden/Wrath Cookies), and Valentine's just has 6 purchasable upgrades (one by one, unlocked by purchasing the previous one) from having it active.
