Bakeberry not Spawning

Is there any way to increase the odds of the Bakeberry spawning? I've spent at least 24 non- consecutive hours attempting to specifically get that 0.1% chance of it spawning.

I am using the wood chips currently to try to increase the chance of mutation but I've still only got wheat and corn growing (I kill the corn when it spawns).

All you really have is Wood Chips, Supreme Intellect and an optimal arrangement of Baker's Wheat.

Besides what was mentioned already having a bigger field increases chances.
