what does unshackle your upgrade tiers do

I've bought up to the jet mint unshackle upgrade cause I've almost gotten all of them but like I still have no idea how much of a boost these give those upgrade tiers

it affects only unshackled buldings. and the amount per uprade is written on the upgrade for the respective buildings unshackle upgrade

You have to also unlock the unshackled buildings, the upgrades are next to each other. So until the buildings are unlocked the unshackled upgrades don't go into effect.

they boost the upgrades in each color tier for each building that is unshackled.
