I tried neverclick for the achievement. I have prestige 1. I got passed the 1mil but never got the achievement, is this because the prestige level?

You can't do it on Prestige.
You can ascend, and on the ascend screen, there is a cookie on the top you can click to choose "Born Again". Born again will temporarily disable your prestige levels and let you get neverclick.

If you restart this way also do "Hardcore" (buy no upgrades until 1 billion) and "True Neverclick" (really do not click the big cookie once until 1 Million, requires you to wait for at least 2 golden cookies in the beginning). Then you have got the annoying ones only possible in born again (the other 3 being the speed baking ones, which are not so restrictive).

only clicking the giant cookie counts, you can click safely everywhere else
