Idle in the background

Cookie Clicker is one of these games that should be on in the background as you do other things. But everytime i have it open, and then open Discord on my 2nd screen it freezes and only resumes when i click back on it.

Anyone have the same thing and or know how to fix it?

I have the same problem, the last option on the menu, disables or enables this function, but even disabling it, it freeze

It works fine in windowed mode

Full screen will pause if it's not the focus

probably a windows setting.. but which :P
cookiemonster also puts the game in sleep mode/bug

I had the same problem, and it seems that windowed mode solved it.

EDIT: actually, it seems it is still freezing when in background

I found a ''fix'' where i put it in windowed mode
And have part of the Slide bar on the right slighty come on my right screen.
That way its active on both screens at once, making it never go idle

It is running in the background, it just doesn't live run (i.e. display real-time progress) if not in focus.
