It's now pretty much impossible to make decent progress without those, just by waiting.
how the heck did you do that? certain buffs? Like what? I know you can trigger a golden cookie that only lasts for a minute, that doesn't exactly help me that much. What buffs are we talking about again? Maybe I missed something
Before that upgrade you also unlock two others that will each halve the respawn rate of golden cookies. Once you have all three, Frenzy will last for more than 2 minutes, with an extremely high likelihood that a second golden cookie will spawn while frenzy is still active.
The second method is to use a sugar lump to upgrade your wizard towers at least once. Doing so unlocks number of spellcast abilities. The most powerful of which is "Force the Hand of Fate" which will either spawn a golden cookie instantly, or on the occasional backfire a wrath cookie which you can simply ignore.
Ok cool and uhh how do you even make golden cookies spawn early in the game? Do they always come after a certain period of time or you have to just be lucky and catch them?
Allright thanks a lot, I didnt even realize these mini games were that vital to the overall progress, it's unlike any other idle I've played before
So gimme a hint - do I spam wizard towers as much as I can so I get more max mana cuz apparently you regenerate mana faster if you have a lot of mana left in the pool after casting a spell or is the m/s increase negligible?
You should have a look at this wiki page: https://cookieclicker.fandom.com/wiki/Grimoire#Optimal_max_limits
Many spells will actually take longer to recharged when you have more max mana, because the cost of spell casting increases at much higher rate than mana regeneration.
It's like one of the first, if not THE first of its kind.
So yeah, things are slow. That's how it was back then. There are several things, that we take for granted today, missing in Cookie Clicker.
Though it has been updated over the many MANY years since its conception, but there are still many things missing / different than the more modern incrementals/clickers/idles that get out these years...
