So am I crazy, or are garden mutations like really hard to get for some reason or another?

Some are very difficult, some are pretty common in terms of mutation rates - it's recommended you use one of the various mutation trees out there to figure out how to make them because many of the combinations are not something you will just accidentally discover.

This [cdn.discordapp.com] is one of the easier mutation trees to use out of the ones that exist.

I can't even get the first mutation, they normally just sit there, doing nothing!

It's both a chance of mutation, and with some exceptions, both parent plants have to be mature in order for them to mutate - in other words, you won't get something new every tick, and you might not even get anything before the plants die, it's okay, just plant some more and try again.

This is partially the reason why the reward for getting all seeds (and sacrificing) is 10 sugar lumps, because it is pretty tedious to do.

Thanks for the link. IAll I've had so far is a weed and I was wondering what was going on. Just need to keep waiting.
