Is it a sin to use an auto clicker in Cookie Clicker?

just use ahk lol, r click desktop make new ahk script, open with text program:

if it doesnt work try starting the script in admin mode.

doubt its the same for every one, so experiment

I use one just to save my mouse from unnecessary wear. I've tested what my clicking speed is over an amount of time (not just a quick sprint of clicks) and set it to that roughly. This way I don't feel like I'm "cheating".

One of friends got kidnapped by grannies after he used one, they yelled he has to pay for his cookie sins. The last thing was the smell of backed cookies and flesh. I won't recommend using one, unless you wanna get turned into cookies by some angry grandma's.

I broke a mouse or two back in the day playing cookie clicker, so I refuse to wear out my mouse like that again. I have a macro set on my mouse wheel that clicks about 10 times per scroll at my clicking ability.
At least I've "beaten" the game multiple times already. I definitely feel you should do a pure run at least once, it's satisfying to know you did it legit.
But consider saving your expensive hardware from damage and your hand from future arthritis.

Honestly, I'm getting up there, and I wanna take care of my hands. I use autohotkey to set up a switch for fast clicks. It's not quite the autoclicker I've seen mentioned where it automatically clicks both the cookie and all golden cookies. But it helps me save my hands for a little bit longer.

As long as it's not multiplayer, I don't see an issue with using turbo/auto-click. The developer has adapted to the fact of autoclickers, and the spirit of an idling game like this is to idle- it's not a test of builds/reflexes like Bloodborne PvP, or something.

autoclickers are cheats, but it's a singleplayer game so it's up to you whether you think it adds or robs fun of the game

i use a mouse macro only for Click frenzy and only at a rate of ~20 clicks per second so i don't have to torment my mouse. :)

Do you have an advantage over other players?. It´s a singleplayer clicker, no multiplayer game. I say hell no. Instead of an autoclicker you can use as an example the wired Speedlink Contus Gaming mouse.

auto clicker is something that won't hurt the lifespan of your mouse.
IDK about you but I don't want to pay another 100$ on my mouse because of a 5$ game

It is sort of cheating, at the very least it's a grey area. At least it doesn't affect anyone else.

Anyway, you can get so many more cookies by clicking golden cookie combos. The right golden cookie effects stacked on each other will give you way more cookies than your auto clicker will give you, so what's the point?
