Curious if there's a point to Selling outside of the Grandma Achievement.

yeah, for casting spells in the spellbook.
your max mana gets lower, and they're % based spells. so you can spawn 2 golden cookies from max mana if you cast it, then sell until around 24 towers, then recast it

There's a dragon buff that has a chance to spawn golden cookies if you sell your most expensive building
