So, I'm at +27 prestige levels, if I ascend I get 27 heavenly cookies. So far it requires almost 2 quad cookies and I'm making less than 100 billion.. should I ascend, is it worth it right now?

Most people recommend waiting until at-least 440 before ascending to get a few upgrades, namely:

Subsequent following ascensions after are usually recommended at 3k for the second ascension and 36k for the third.

Man.. alright, that'll take quite a bit then. This first run has been going for 8 days currently, I've mostly been relying on the golden cookie spell giving me the click power, otherwise my temple setup is from a guide, and I only have 1 farm seed. Haven't touched stocks.. those are so confusing.

You don't have to wait for 440 prestige points to buy upgrades. The guide only says that you need 440 points to be able to buy a set of recommended upgrades for your next game start, not necessarily expect to rise to 440 points for the first time.

I'll think you're still at +27 prestige points. If your game is too slow, reset without fear and don't buy anything. So in your next game you will get a 27% Cps boost. After that, try to close the 440 little by little by calculating how much points you need to close the 440 points. So that you can make the first purchases of the "First ascension".

I ascended at like 20 the first time, I don't regret it. It gives you a quick look around how the ascension system works and you can look at how much you need for your next ascension and choose for your next upgrade when to do it.

Everyone telling you to wait until 400+ is kind of ignoring some things. You get a cookie multiplier for every prestige, it's not just about buying heavenly upgrades. And if you're active you end up getting back to and surpassing where you were faster with each ascension.

Now, if you're going to be passive, you might want to wait longer, but if you're active it's entirely up to you.

The biggest difference in making the choice is in how active you will be in monitoring for golden cookies, how often you decide to pop wrinklers and how much you watch for reindeer, etc.

I ascended at like 20 something, then 200, then 400, then 1000. I'm at like 8 trillion now and have 100% of the heavenly upgrades purchased.

The main thing for me was that I chose to be active for a couple of hours after each ascension and then put on the buffs that upgrade being passive, ignore it for a while and then come back to it, ascend and be active for while again. Each ascension picking new permanent buffs, etc.

The game slows down a lot once you get into the trillions and have all the heaven upgrades.
