Tutorial Shut-Off and Tips

Well, I've finally managed to do it - all 57 achievements. Hooray...

And yet, I still have to deal with the tutorial? Surely by now, especially after beating the game on Hard difficulty, I should be able to permanently toggle that off... is there a way we can 'brute force' the tutorial to be skipped (ie. deleting files), or is it hard-coded into the game?

It'd just be nice to not have to constantly click off the Jester and the Queen repeatedly. Her text boxes would pop up and block everything as I'm trying to click on things, and basically became a game of how fast can I close the box.

Also, for those of you who might need help on the Hard difficulty:

1) Don't go Mega-Base. Spread yourself out to every island that has what you need, and try to keep the distances small so ships aren't out at sea for very long between ports.

2) Build back-up ships. Costs become stupid cheap in the late-game, so there's no point in not having 2 back-up small, 1 merchant, and 1 large ship just hanging around if/when you need them.

3) Invest most of your 'big' island(s) to animals and slaughterhouses, and port the wheat in from elsewhere. I got blindsided after several plagues and taxes took every adult pig and cow on my tax island. People kept dying and I had no idea why until I realized what had happened.

4) Hard difficulty requires 75 of the T4 goods. Don't build the T4 market until after you've stockpiled enough for the end-game requirement.

5) Don't be afraid to move your harbour(s) and/or markets. If your people take 10+ seconds to reach a market on fast-forward, they're gonna die.

6) Stockpiles in random places/next to buildings mean faster repairs. 5 boxes filled with Wood, Brick, Stone, Tool, and Water will repair everything faster than having to run to a harbour and grab things.

7) Probably most importantly - don't immediately research the next tier. Stockpile the current tier as much as you think you might need for future taxes and always have a surplus of goods for when plagues/droughts/hurricanes/earthquakes/fires hit.

I see a lot of great tips I definitely agree with! I'm afraid there is no way to permanently disable the tutorial. Basically every tier (when new mechanics are introduced) a new "chapter" of the tutorial is started. You can 'stop' that chapter, but can't permanently stop it.
