I used the repair bench on Emilio's parts during the prologue instead of adding broken parts to a shopping list. How do I skip a journal entry in the tracking of a quest?

Just add those same 3 parts to the shopping list it will count the progress even though you've already fixed them. Hopefully you still remember what they are. It was a while ago for me, but I think it was the oil pan, the crankshaft and .... pistons? I've at least given you a lead on how to proceed.

Fortunately, it is so early on in the game that I just restarted. Yes, you are correct on the list of parts. I don't recall if the mission makes you purchase new or not.

I'm stuck in the same place for the same reason, but I've bought the parts and it's still telling me to add the parts to the shopping list.

Is buying the parts different to adding them to a shopping list? If so, how do I add parts to the shopping list rather than buying them?

I have same problem, I cannot add parts to the shopping list to complete this quest.
How do you add them??

Just found out how:

When you are inspecting the car or engine, when highlighting the part it says to press N to add to list.

It does, thank you. I just remembered what parts were faulty. I didn't notice there was that option. It's a good option, better than players having to remember which parts are faulty.

Problem is that I removed and repaired the faulty parts. So I guess I'd have to restart if I wanted to continue playing.

You can still mark the new parts to your list, that's how i got trough that mission
