My Game can only Always Crash or Lag and Lose

I've tried to ignore it but this has gone long enough, ever since the game updated to Season 3 tit ALWAYS crashes in the middle of every other race! I only have a ASUS laptop with Windows 11 and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.30 GHz and a NVIDIA Geforce MX250 on the game's lowest quality presets that's never had "reliable" crashing before until this update.

On switching my graphics adapter from NVIDIA to Intel (UHD) Graphics, it doesn't crash anymore BUT the resolution is absolute pixels and even worse it horribly lags so that all the other racers leave me in the dust dead last, never able to make the top 3 and can only barely make 6th on these settings, reducing ranked races to a painstaking crawl of 4 points avg. increasing 120+ races to 300+ races to get 1200 points Champion rank and the fancy new cosmetic.

And changing my DirectX version from 11 to 12 only makes it crash every startup. I'm stuck between two bad modes of all-or-nothing points or consistent slowpoke.

Brickbrawl doesn't crash at least, but I'm still perturbed they changed the scoring from 60 or 30 to 20 or nothing, not even half at 10.

It's really infuriating when a game that ran fine becomes near unplayable in a new update, hard to expect any mid-season bugfix until Season 4.

i'm glad i'm not the only one, because this is a first for me and mine keeps crashing when i race that alien "Hugh Man" and this is after the update... I admit i hadn't made much progress ingame but this is still a joke

Same here. I did manage to go on for a bit without crashes (which allowed me to complete the main story and redo some races in Big Butte) but now the problem reappeared again during the Glazed Overdrive race.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 3 running an AMD Ryzen 3 CPU with AMD Radeon Vega 3 integrated graphics, 8GB RAM. Hell, I can run No Man's Sky (which is WAY more intensive than this) without crashing once.

I tried asking to 2K Support, but they weren't much helpful...and the solution the provided me didn't work at all.

Months later and the problem is on and off, some days no crashes, some days occasionally, and today just crashing every race and crashing before startup successfully stopping me from grinding the last daily achievement...
