Worth 50% off?

The game is £24.99... is the game worth that price tag? Can I buy everything without spending real money?

I'm curious too, I see all the complaints about micro-transactions which I never buy anyway. So I'm curious if it's worth it and can you get all achievements and a good play time (20h-ish?) collecting everything and ranking up to max?

Also I mainly play solo, I figure there are some multiplayer locked things but wasn't sure if that should be a major consideration.

I just stared and it feels kinda werid, I got no clue how grindy it could be but for now it's absolutly unreasonable to not be able to create a custom character for example. Otherwise the price for one car ingame is like 10k Blockbux (yes real name for the cash, cringe) and I can't really say if it's expensive or not. Gameplay is decent, not as hard as older Lego racers at points but is a little fun game. If you REALLY want it, get it now at 30€/$ but otherwise wait till its maybe 20 or 15.

Game is worth the £25, much more than the full price tag at least.

Microtransactions aren't a problem, you can get a lot of good looking cars for free from the Creator's hub and once you learn how to play you can earn enough brickbucks to buy what you want just by playing 1-2 hours per day, the only real issue is FOMO if you're serious about building, cause you'll probably want to buy out the deals store every week - some specific bricks and tires are locked behind the Surplus mechanic (= take an existing, store bought car and rebuild it by following the instructions to unlock a set of pieces used in it), and a lot of flair bricks (boosters, flashing lights etc) are bought in packs through the weekly deals so you'll need a lot of BBs

Yeahhhh, I tried it out and refunded, its a good game, from what I played, and I'm sure it is 100% worth even the £25, but I'm still unsure, so I'm gonna wait a bit longer...

if you turn crossplay off and save and then back on and save it. the game will put you in your own online session right after so you can just grind out race for xp and coins. i love the game. lots of fun i like to grind out the season passes because they come with lots of loot plus if you get the 4 seasons pass you get the ones already released and you wont have to worry about buying them in the future. plus the seasons dont have any sort of cut off so i assume you can obtain the rewards whenever.

I think it's worth it. Lots more fun than Crew 2, Forza H 3-5 for me. I like that you can jump and boost and drift and how unrealistic it is.

yeah since you can get free vehicles, you dont need to buy premium editions or dlc, fun for all ages

No, just got it for 13euro on epic games store, even than it's not worth it. It's a free2play game and a very boring game at that.

I find it pretty fun, though there's no sense of progression because you can just download community made cars. Defeats the point of mtx.

Definitely a big nostalgia hit driving around as the classic lego racers cars.

Right now on steam, it's 67% off (around 20$). But i think if we wait just a little more on future sales, it's likely we will hit 75% - 80% sale. 75% - 80% sale seem more worth it for the current content (between 12 and 15$). That is if you want to play on a paid game with a microtransaction shop... But if you only want to focus on building lego cars, it could be worth waiting more.

it's really fun and none of the dlc is maps you're missing out on. i'ts really colorful, and pretty, and has a lot of "whoa" moments. basically if you like racing games and silly LEGO games, and are kind of a kid at heart you're going to have a good time.

the reviews for this game are nasty, but it's steam. people here write the dumbest reviews i've ever seen. like no i don't wanna pet the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cat.
